Darci was born and raised on Kauai and is a graduate of Kapa’a High school. Darci attended the Paul Mitchell School in Costa Mesa California where she earned her cosmetology license. Upon graduation Darci moved to Oahu where she had the privilege to learn and work along side Hawaii’s top hair stylists.

Developing her love of not only the artistic side of the industry, she found much interest in the business aspect as well. In 2010 she opened Epic Hair Boutique where she feeds her passion of being both business owner and hair artist. Darci truly enjoys being a “Day Maker” by connecting with people and helping them see their true beauty both inside and out.

Crystal Terpening

Crystal grew up in Phoenix, AZ where she attended cosmetology school.  She started out at Salon Surreal, and in 2002 she decided to further her experience and move to the land of dreams and stardom, Los Angeles. She worked with top professionals and styled hair on set of commercials and music videos. After visiting Kaua’i in 2006, she decided to set her roots here. Crystal has worked at Epic since 2010 and loves the rad team. Her education includes Toni & Guy Academy, Redken, Bumble & Bumble, and Aveda. Her recent training includes hairpainting with Elizabeth Faye, color correction and dynamic dimension with Briana Cisneros and Shannon Rha of Workshop Evolve, Anh Co Tran Academy, and Curated Hair Cutting. Crystal enjoys going to the beach and camping with her two children.  She also bellydances professionally in her spare time!

Taryn Rodriguez

Taryn has been in the industry since 2010, and has studied at the Aveda Institute of Las Vegas. She loves everything about this industry so she decided to bring her talents back home to Kaua’i. She has been a member of Epic Hair Boutique since 2013. If you want to get pampered from head to toe, sheʻs your girl! Taryn does hair, nails and a little bit of everything in between. She cant wait to meet you!

Shalee Mundon 

Shalee was born and raised on this beautiful island of Kaua’i. Hair is a passion that began as a young child. She got certified in Oregon where she attended beauty school. Shalee has been in the hair industry for 10 years and joined Epic Hair Boutique in 2017. Her focus is always on individual clients life and style.  Shalee prides herself on making her clients feel renewed and refreshed after every salon experience. She focuses on every detail to create a polished , fresh look for her clients.

Cliff was born on Kaua’i, and had the opportunity to grow up and live in various states such as Illinois, California, Vegas, and Japan.  While living in Japan, Cliff took an interest in cosmetology which led him to build his career based upon this passion.  Cliff enjoys traveling, dancing hula, and being with friends, family and his dog Shaka.  

With 20+ years of cosmetology and salon management under his belt. Cliff found his specialty with haircutting and barbering.  He loves making people laugh, sharing his aloha and giving guests a great experience.
